Drukmo,
the dragon (druk Tib. dragon; mo, fem.)
symbolizes the cycling of the four seasons and, in
particular, represents the spring, the birth of new
beginnings, the east, the dawn. A mala (Skt.
garland) is an ancient tool used for contemplative
practice. Each bead and each cycle of a mala marks aspirations
to fully awaken our hearts and minds. Choice of a mala
can be based on a color preference, an affinity for
a particular stone, wood or seed, or to accentuate
a particular quality of wisdom and compassion. A vast
lore of symbolism and meaning about types of beads
exists, and our product descriptions reflect some of
the qualities Eastern traditions associate with colors
and types of materials. |
